Davis Applied Technology Center
Davis High School Career Technology Education (CTE) programs provide opportunities for career preparation and skill development.
CTE programs combine both academic and hands on training related to a wide variety of careers. Courses are available in the CTE program areas of Agriculture, Trade and Industrial Education, Business Education, Marketing Education, Health Occupations (available at the DATC), and Family and Consumer Science.
Most CTE program course areas offer Utah State Office of Education Skill Certification for students who master the course objectives.
A growing number of CTE courses offer Concurrent Enrollment college credit upon successful completion of the high school course. This credit is generally available at little or no cost to the student.
Career Technology Education programs provide work-based learning components which allow students to connect the classroom learning to the world of work. Job Shadowing, Internships, and CO-OP opportunities provide actual workplace learning that is connected to a student's SEOP career goal.
Students who complete CTE programs at Davis High School may continue with advanced training at the Davis Applied Technology Center (DATC) as a part of the high school schedule.
School to Careers opportunities are available to students in several of Davis High School's academic and CTE programs. School to Careers combines elements of School Based Learning, Work Based Learning, and Connecting Activities.
