Davis High School teacher Shauna Ward was honored today with the Davis School District’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing a career defined by long-standing service, mentorship and leadership.
Ward, a Career and Technical Education educator, has spent decades helping students gain practical skills in areas such as career readiness and financial literacy. Known for her steady leadership and commitment to student success, she has played a key role in shaping both classroom experiences and the broader school culture at Davis High.
The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates educators whose sustained dedication positively impacts generations of students and leaves a lasting imprint on their schools. Colleagues and administrators describe Ward as a mentor to both students and fellow teachers, someone whose influence extends far beyond her own classroom.
Her work has consistently focused on preparing students for life after graduation, blending academic knowledge with real-world applications. Many former students credit her guidance with helping them build confidence and direction in their future paths.
The recognition was made even more meaningful through the support of community sponsors Lifetime Products and America First Credit Union. As part of the award, Ward received a $1,000 cash prize, a Lifetime cooler filled with snacks and drinks and a signature “monster” Minky blanket.
District leaders highlighted that honoring educators like Ward underscores the importance of long-term dedication in education and the profound role teachers play in shaping communities.
