The DHS library is kicking off its year-long READING promotion. Each month you will have the opportunity to choose from two different genres that will earn you a token towards your challenge. There will be monthly prize drawings for those who checkout and read a book that fits the monthly category, and anyone who completes the entire challenge will receive an amazing prize at the end of the year. September's categories are to read an e-book or listen to an audiobook on SORA, an online platform. When you have completed the book, come to library and scan the QR code to receive a treat and to enter this month's drawing. Stop by the library today to learn about SORA or to get more details!

Are you a great guitarist? The Davis High Jazz band is in need a of guitarist. You must feel comfortable reading notation and chord symbols and be a self-motivated learner. If you’re interested in trying out or for more details talk with Mr. Crookston in the band room.
Monday: August 19 Come join us at lunch on the point for Popsicles on the point while we paint the spirit flag in preparation for the first home game. We will also be taking photos and writing notes to put in a time capsule.
Tuesday: August 20 Night at 8:00 will be Light the D Luminary Night. We will meet in the Auditorium to get started and head out to the football field to light the D as it gets dark.
Wednesday: August 21, We will have our student sunrise at 6:30 on the south end. Come mingle with your fellow students and have cereal and watch the sunrise to kick off the school year.
Thursday: August 22, Make sure to join us in the auditorium following 5th period for the hello assembly. We have an amazing assembly planned with games and prizes so don’t miss it!
Friday: August 23, Will be our first tailgate for the year for our first home game. We will have food, drinks, music, and fun at the north end of the stadium at the point. Parking is available in the north lot, and the north gate will open first for the Mob to get the best seats!

Fun for the whole family! We have inflatable slides, face painting, balloon artists, food trucks including Twisted Sugar, Rickles, Bandidos & Marquesas Corn Dogs! WFFL be ready to run the tunnel in your jersey. The D’ettes will be performing with the Jr. D’ettes! Cheer is also performing. We have the amazing Michael Goodkind @the_goodkind from the Utah Jazz joining us as the announcer!! And, of course, the 2024 Davis High Football team will be taking the field.
